What is the anime Jujutsu Kaisen about
Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime set in Japan and created by its author Gege Akutami and animated by MAPPA studio on October 3, 2020, thus beginning its first season.
The anime is about sorcery, curses with human and random forms, within what we know as ugly monsters today, an apparently normal world but where people exist who are capable of observing and feeling curses, a gift they have had since birth, where each one has different powers we could call them, which encompass what is sorcery to eradicate curses that normal people do not know exist.

What duty do sorcerers have in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Sorcerers have the duty to protect the world by exorcising curses, specifically the anime focuses on the country of Japan. With different abilities called techniques and domains, they are able to eliminate these curses that drain human life without control.
Superior Dangers
Within the Jujutsu Kaisen anime and official manga, we are introduced to deities (supreme curses or higher gods from among the demons), they are curses that are at the very top, such as Sukuna, who is capable of posing a threat that only the great sorcerers could control.
Special Grade Sorcerers
Among the top sorcerers, we have the special grade ones, they are called this because they truly are. With abilities that surpass the unthinkable and some capable of controlling curses at will to use them to do good, or others capable of controlling the infinite or invisible cuts with no apparent logic, that is why they are called special grade.
How many classes of sorcerers are there in Jujutsu Kaisen?
As I mentioned before, there is the special grade where those with illogical abilities are found, but there are more where sorcerers with lower powers are found:
- Grade 4 Class
- Grade 3 Class
- Grade 2 Class
- Grade 1 Class
- Special Grade
It is also mentioned that there are intermediate grade classes when one is halfway or about to move to another higher or lower grade class.
Classes of Curses
On the other hand, curses are also named in the same way, with the special grade being the most catastrophic of all, with abilities that are considered unreal and an unprecedented risk to humanity, with urgent priority over any other that is happening at the same time in Japan, according to the anime. As some can put more than one special grade sorcerer in trouble, that is why they are given priority.

How many seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen are there
Currently there are 2 seasons that have already aired, the first was in October 2020 with 24 episodes, the second was in July 2023 and it has just been announced that it will have a third season, which is scheduled for January 2026, where the “Culling Game” arc will be adapted.
